At the end of the day, the success of any diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) effort is to foster whatever changes in behaviors are required to ensure that the workplace embodies your organization’s values. Because these issues often carry significant emotional content, missteps are costly, and a well-structured process is required to move people and systems along.

TALK TOPICS
The Power of Inclusiveness: “Passion for The Mission”
The reason the best decisions, programs, projects and plans often end up poorly implemented is the lack of inclusion at the critical inflection points in your organization. Most people come to work wanting to contribute and to add value. Creating a culture of inclusion taps into that intrinsic motivation, releasing creativity, innovation, and commitment.
LeRoy outlines practical approaches for creating a productive workplace culture that leverages the skills and talents of its people.
The Neurobiology of Bias: “We’ve Made Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Way Too Hard!”
Without being able to generate meaningful dialogue, DEI efforts don’t go very far. But it’s nearly impossible to get people to open up because the subtle message is that if you have biases, you’re a “bad person”. This becomes a huge challenge in“normalizing” the conversation around what you need to do to become a more effective organization.

LeRoy shares insights into neuroscience that help everyone conclude that bias is part of
being human and in some form or fashion we all have them.
Getting A DEI ROI: “You Achieve What You Measure”
The potential downfall of every organizational initiative is not knowing what success looks like, right? As with any change management effort, measuring the impact of your diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts is the key to success. Contrary to the prevailing wisdom there are lots of straightforward ways to calibrate the progress of your DEI journey.
This is the most important form of thought leadership and LeRoy will provide you with insight, techniques, and tools to get a real return on your investment in addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion, opportunities.
